I'm a sucker for a good vampire vs. werewolf novel and Stephenie Meyer makes monsters romantic again in the third book of the Twilight saga. The red colored ribbon snaked across the cover of Eclipse represents that Bella is still madly in love with beautiful vampire Edward Cullen, but it's making her friendship with Jacob Black (the one who was there to pick up the pieces when Edward removed himself from her life) more complicated. Jacob just happens to be a werewolf, and werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies. In addition to the "which boy will she pick" dilemma, there is an army of vampires coming after her and nobody knows who's behind it. The best parts of the book are a long storytelling session in which Billy Black tells the myth of the Third Wife. A scene in which the love triangle (Bella, Jacob & Edward) are forced to spend a night in a tent together reveals more tension between Edward and Jacob. Its really a great book and I recommend it to anyone who just wants to read an interesting book, but before you grab this one off the shelves I recommend that you read the first two books of the Twilight saga, Twilight and New Moon. =]
